Print, Fold, and Staple a Booklet From a PDF in Adobe Acrobat or Reader
- Open the PDF in Adobe Acrobat or Reader.
- Select [Print] from the File menu.
- Select the printer and then click on the [Preferences] or [Properties] button.

Stapling, Hole Punching and Duplexing Options for Windows

- Go to the File pull-down menu and select Print (Command P).
- In the Print pop-up box select Printer Features.
- Select Offset Tray / Finisher from the Output box.
- From the Staple box select 1 Staple or 2 Staples.
- And if you so desire check the Punch box.

Finishing with the Stapler
- You can bind each copy with the stapler after a collate or group output.

- Press <Options> on the Copy Basic Features screen.
- Press <Finishing>.
- <Staple> is displayed only when you are printing a PDF file with <Access Stored Files>.

- After creating a document, click [Print] on the [File] menu.

- Select the staple position in the [Staple:] list.

The other setting, the one that splays the staple points outward, is for temporarily attaching papers that are intended to be separated again. The attachment is looser, and it's easier to remove the staple without chewing up the corners of the pages.
The metal piece allows you to put the outward staples into the paper, and they are designed to come out easily. The outward staples are perfect for pages that you may want to keep together for a little while or documents that you need to keep in order and send to someone but will ultimately need to come apart.

Gently slide the tines on one side of the remover under the main body of the staple and press the remover's halves together until you have a firm hold on the staple. Continuing to maintain a firm hold on the staple, pull the entire staple gently out of the paper.
