Is it better to boost a Facebook event or a Facebook post? If your main objective is to generate RSVPs for your event, boosting an event post is worth a test. You will be paying to reach the target audience you select with a post about the event from your page, therefore it is technically the same as boosting a post.

On average, the best time to post on Instagram is between 2 PM and 3 PM CDT. However, the level of engagement you get can change dramatically depending on what day of the week you post. The best day to post on Instagram is Thursday, not just at 3 PM, but at 5 AM, 11 AM, and 4 PM as well.

Dark posts are targeted ads on social media. Unlike boosted and organic posts, though, they don't appear on your timeline. They also don't show up in the feeds of your followers. Instead, they show up as sponsored content in the feeds of users you're specifically targeting.
People within the audience you set will be eligible to see your promotion. If someone sees your promotion and tags another person in the comments, the tagged person person will be able to see your promotion.
Power Editor is a bulk ads creation and management tool typically used by larger Facebook advertisers or advertisers who want advanced features. The Power Editor interface looks much different than the Ads Manager. Power Editor is essentially a plugin that works with Google Chrome.
Promotions look similar to organic posts and stories but have a few differences. Promotions may include a call-to-action button at the bottom of the promotion, if one was added when the promotion was originally created. Promotions can be vertical or horizontal on Instagram.
On your notification tab on Instagram, there will be “Promotions” right at the very top. Click on the post of your choice and you will see Promotion Insights. Go all the way down and click “Delete Promotion”. Now you will be able to go on your feed and edit caption and user tags as any normal Instagram post.
To get to the Ads Manager, click the drop-down arrow located to the right of the globe icon on Facebook, and select “Manage Ads.” Once you are in the Ads Manager, click the green button in the top right corner that says “Create Ad.” From the several options listed, select “Boost your posts.”
- Step 1: Create an Unpublished Page Post. To create a dark post, first go into the ads manager menu in the top left next to the Facebook icon. Hover over “All Tools” and you will see an expanded menu.
- Step 2: Create an Ad. Next, head back over to power editor to create an ad using your dark post.

- Below Publication, select the date and time when you want the post to publish and click Schedule.
If you want to increase your visibility, think about creating engaging content. When the audience likes, comments, views, shares, and saves the post, it goes higher on your Instagram feed, and the algorithm will show it to more people. When you promote your post on Instagram, its reach will be limited to Instagram.

Followers are the main goal for me, specifically real and active followers. This is one of the benefits of paying to boost a photo, rather than paying a service to find followers. The followers you gain through a photo campaign are much more likely be active humans. That said, this was likely still not worth it for me.
