Handball (also known as team handball, European handball or Olympic handball) is a team sport in which two teams of seven players each (six outcourt players and a goalkeeper) pass a ball using their hands with the aim of throwing it into the goal of the other team.
Each person can only touch the ball once with their hand before someone else hits it. When someone else has hit the ball after you, you are allowed to touch the ball once again. The aim of the game is to make the ball hit someone else so they are out.
The receiving player must hit the ball in their own square and then someone else's square. If the ball bounces twice or more times in someone's square they are out and proceed to dunce or the end of the line of players waiting to join the game. If Kings gets out they proceed to dunce and the new King serves.
Rules
- After receiving the ball, players can pass, keep possession, or shoot the ball.
- If possessing the ball, players must dribble (similar to a basketball dribble), or can take up to three steps for up to three seconds at a time without dribbling.

There can be no more than seven (7) handball positions participating in the game at any one time. There should always be one goalkeeper and six outcourt players. Two fullbacks (left and right), a 'center' backcourt player, two wingers (left and right), and a circle runner (called 'pivot') make up the outfield team.
Handball is a great form of exercise, for both men and women. Principally a form of aerobic exercise, handball helps to enhance agility and flexibility, muscle tone, stamina, burn calories and fat and promote cardiovascular health.
Their main role is trying to prevent the opposition from shooting (and scoring). When defending, they try to block shots and cover the circle runner. But, these handball players positions (pp) often become free-scoring long-range shooters when the team is in an attacking mode.
Handball is one of the most popular team sports in much of Europe, particularly Germany, France, Spain, the Nordic countries and the countries of former Yugoslavia.
Shortly after the changeover, the world handball player of the year managed to throw with a speed of 139.3 km/h and scoring the goal to 16:18 in minute 34 he came up with a throw of 135.7 km/h.
'Kicking' - Handball players (other than the goalkeeper) must not kick the ball. If the ball touches the foot, then possession is awarded to the opposition. Handball fouls - No tripping, pushing, hitting, clinching, charging or holding is allowed in handball.
American handball, known as handball in the United States, is a sport in which players use their hands to hit a small, rubber ball against a wall such that their opponent(s) cannot do the same without the ball touching the ground twice nor hitting out-of-bound. The three versions are four-wall, three-wall and one-wall.
Rules of Handball
- A match consists of two periods of 30 minutes each.
- Each team consists of 7 players; a goalkeeper and 6 outfield players.
- Outfield players can touch the ball with any part of their body that is above the knee.
- Once a player receives possession, they can pass, hold possession or shoot.
Failing to hit the ball into another square. Allowing the ball to bounce more than once in their own square. Hitting the ball out of bounds or onto an inside line. Hitting the ball incorrectly such as holding, catching or carrying.
At present, handballs are made from rubber or synthetic material with a hollow center to enhance the game, where the handball would bounce higher and faster.
The variation for Team 2-Square is that teams must take turns hitting the ball, alternating back and forth between each student. If one student serves the ball and it is returned, the other student on their team must hit it back. If one student hits the ball twice in a row, their team must go to the end of the line.
The overall size of the court is 40 meters (44 yards) long by 20 meters (22 yards) wide. This is much bigger than a standard basketball court. The longer outer boundaries of the court are called sidelines or touchlines. The shorter boundaries are referred to as Goal Lines or End Lines.
Throw-Off: A throw-off is taken by the team that wins the coin toss and chooses to start the game with the ball. Each team must be in its own half of the court with the defense 3 meters away from the ball. Following a whistle, the ball is passed from center court to a teammate and play begins.
