From the Mage Tower in Stormwind, take the portal in the entry foyer to The Shattered Front in Blasted Lands. Then, fly/ride/run/walk to the Dark Portal which will now take you to Stormshield in Ashran.
Every city has a portal to the Blasted Lands, where the Dark Portal is located. These portals are found near the mage trainers (if you don't know where the mage trainers are, ask a guard). You must be level 58 or higher to use the portal to the Blasted Lands.
In the Blasted Lands, go south to the Dark Portal and take it to Hellfire Peninsula; if lv. 58, the quests available will lead you to the Thrallmar encampment. You will not be able to pass through the dark portal into Outland unless you are level 58 or above.
There is a portal in the upper room of the Mage Tower in Stormwind that takes you to Hellfire Penninsula. From there its less than 5 min flight time to Shattrath. There is also a direct portal to Shattrath from your faction's shrine in Pandaria. Shrine has a portal to shat.
The Stormwind Portal Room is located inside the Mage Tower at Stormwind's Mage Quarter, and has been renovated to accomodate many different portals.
Elim Garak
- legion dalaran.
- portal to your faction capital, say stormwind.
- portal to blasted lands (near the place where you end up after previous portal)
- fly to dark portal to outland.
- fly from hellfire peninsula to black temple in a straight line.
To get to Draenor, you can pick up the quest The Dark Portal from the Hero's Call Board in Stormwind or the Warchief's Command Board in Orgrimmar. If this quest is not available, travel to the Dark Portal in the Blasted Lands and speak with Khadgar to start the quest.
Getting to and from Tanaan
- Portals are located in Stormshield and Warspear, near the flight master.
- Existing flight paths.
- Players with a Mage Tower / Spirit Lodge can access a new waypoint in Tanaan Jungle at 53.5, 58.4.
- On the PTR, players can access Tanaan Jungle via northeastern Talador.
If you're high level, there's a portal to Shattrath in shrine of the four winds. If you're level, then there are portals in Orgrimmar (The Drag, specifically) and in Stormwind, (I believe in the mages tower) that take you to Hellfire Peninsula.
Getting to the Outlands is simple from Orgrimmar. All you have to do is head to the Cleft of Shadow, which is where the Rogue, Mage, and Warlock trainers hang out in Orgrimmar. Down there will be a few portals, the portal on the right will take you to Hellfire Peninsula which is the first zone in the Outlands.
If you've left the area, just walk (don't try to fly!) through the Dark Portal. It'll loadbar you once into the zone, and then briefly again to a point close to your last completed quest.
There's a portal to Shattrath in the portal room. It's near the Thrallmar mage. The portals were moved to a new Portal Room where they're all collected in one spot. For Horde, it's a new tunnel inside the front gate of Orgrimmar.
Yes. There is one in your factions city in Vale of Eternal Blossoms in Pandaria. In Legion Dalaran, there is a portal to your Panda town, and then you run in and get the second portal.
In Orgrimmar, talk to Thrallmar Mage by the Shattrath portal in the Portal room. These NPCs will take you to the Blasted Lands, right by the Dark Portal. The Blasted Lands is a short flight from Stormwind, for Alliance players.
There is no portal to the Blasted Lands anymore. It has been replaced by a portal to Shattrath City in your faction's new portal room.
There is a portal "to Hellfire Peninsula" inside the mage tower in SW, and inside by the mage trainers in Ironforge.
After the sundering of Draenor, Outland was thrown partially towards the Twisting Nether, and is now in a constant state of degradation. It became the domain of the pit lord Magtheridon, who was eventually deposed and replaced by Illidan Stormrage until his death at the Black Temple.
Post by AdamsmYou don't use the same portal to reach Outlands that you do to reach Draenor; the portal to Outlands is in the top part of the mage tower in Stormwind and across the way from the Blasted Lands portal in Orgrimmar.
In addition to travelling from Shattrath, you can go from the Dark Portal in Hellfire Peninsula. As you come out of the portal, you can use your own flight to fly directly north, ignoring the fatigue warning when you get it. If you don't have flight or the flight points, you will need to run and its a long way.
If it is green you'll likely need to speak to Zidormi at the north end of the zone (she's marked by a chat bubble on your map in the Blasted Lands. She'll be able to return the zone to the present. If it is red, that should be the portal to Draenor.
