Hopefully Instagram will improve this feature to be more user friendly, as it would be more natural to search by name. Once you save your image, it will appear within the Instagram feed with a small person icon in the lower left corner that you can tap to see tags.
Here's what these Instagram insights mean: Profile Visits – The amount of users that have visited your Instagram profile. Website Clicks – The number of users who have clicked on the website link in your bio. Email – The number of times users have tapped on Email on your profile.
The Bookmark Button
The ribbon under Instagram posts represents an option to save your favorite photos and create your own album on your profile.Double-tapping an Instagram photo is the easiest—and coolest—way to like it. If there's a picture you particularly like, you can tap the little heart button just below the image.
Users can share a post by clicking the “paper plane” icon, either through direct messages with friends, or to their Instagram Story. A shareable post can be anything posted to Instagram, including your own, from a hilarious meme to a news update to a cute pair of boots that someone wants to share with their friend.
Regardless, it's often too late, and the recipients see the heart before their sender can do damage control. Introduced during a 2015 redesign of Instagram Direct messaging, the heart operates as a convenient sort of "like" button, much like Facebook Messenger's thumbs-up button.
The most common explanation is that the people you see first in your likers list are those who you engage with most, and they engage with you the most. These are the Instagram users you search for, like and comment on their photos, or direct message – and they do it back.
Here's how to activate this Instagram feature:
- Open your Direct inbox and open any message thread (even if it's a group of up to 4 people)
- Tap the camera icon in the top right-hand corner.
- Instagram will then call your friend's mobile(s) directly (they don't even need to be using the app at the time of the call)
Your Instagram account is all set up. Now it's time to learn how to navigate through the app using the menu icons at the bottom. There are five menu icons that let you browse through various parts of Instagram: home, explore, take a photo, activity, and your user profile.
Don't use an awkward username on Instagram
If you make your username (and even your “real” name) hard to find, people won't be able to find and follow you. Instead, use the same username as your Twitter handle and make your name something easy to recognize, whether it's your real name or your business name.To get more followers on Instagram do the following things:
- Promote your dedicated hashtag on your other social profiles, on your website, and your email blast.
- Get creative with your hashtags.
- Watch topically relevant and trending hashtags.
- Use your bio link to drive traffic to your newest or most popular content.
In a blog post today, Instagram announced a new feature: a green status dot that indicates when a user is active on the app. If you're cruising around Instagram, you can expect to see a green dot next to the profile pics of friends who also are Instagramming right then and there.
Quite simply, users who mark messages that they'd like to revisit will now “flag” them instead of “star” them. According to Instagram, the change is more semiotic than anything else – you “flag” something you'd like to revisit or take note of, rather than adding some value to it with a star.
After switching to a business profile, simply follow the steps below to see who saved your posts:
- Go to your Instagram profile.
- Click on a picture you think has been saved a lot.
- Below the picture, click View Insights.
- From here, you can see how many people saved your post.
According to a report from Android Police, the flags don't appear on the Android keyboard where you'd normally expect to find emoji. To use them, you'll have to go to the Emojipedia page that lists them all. Once there, you'll have to copy the emoji and paste it into any message your sending.
I did some research and the little orange triangles in the top right corner on some direct messages are actually starred threads. So that means you can find your text threads or your favorite threads with ease instead of scrolling through looking for them.
Blue message on Instagram is showing that this is a message from the sender and a white or grey message shows the receiver messages. This blue color might probably are for the readability of text on the Instagram and Facebook messenger.
Open up direct messages on Instagram. Tap on the filter icon in the top right. You have the option to select inbox, unread, or starred. Inbox is your standard chronological inbox, unread shows only messages that you haven't opened yet, and starred only shows messages you've starred (or "flagged").
