Uninstall Microsoft Teams
- Quit Teams by right-clicking the Teams icon in the taskbar and choosing Close window.
- In Windows, click on the Start button.
- Under Apps & features, search "teams".
- Highlight Microsoft Teams, then select Uninstall.
- A box will appear, then again select Uninstall to confirm.
Restore a Deleted Team via Azure PortalSearch for Groups and once you select Groups, click Deleted Groups. You should find the deleted team in the list. Select the team and click Restore Group.
First switch to the account you want to remove, go Settings > Data and storage > Clear app data, then click back to the previous page, scroll down and click Sign out. Now this account will be removed.
To delete a chat message, press and hold the message and select the delete option. and select the delete option.

- While you can't delete an entire chat, you can hide a chat from your chat list if it's not relevant to you anymore. Select the chat you want to hide, then More options > Hide.
- If you need to backtrack and delete something you just sent, go to the message and select More options. > Delete.
Team owners manage certain settings for the team. They add and remove members, add guests, change team settings, and handle administrative tasks.
To remove someone, open the chat participant list and click the X beside the name of the person you want to remove.
Re: Can i see who is removing users in a meeting? No, there is no log of who kicked someone out from a meeting or who muted someone. There is no log that presenters, administrators or even Microsoft support can see.
To assign a user role, in Teams, select the team name and click More options > Manage team. On the Members tab, you can add members and choose owners and moderators (if you have sufficient permissions). For more information , see Change team settings in Teams.
To make someone an owner, click Member and then select Owner. You can also make someone a team owner while you're creating a team. When you're adding team members, designate whether each new person is going to be a team member or team owner by clicking Owner under the Member menu. > View members.
Go to the Team in question, press the icon and select View Team. Then, on the Channels tab you can hover over the People icon for the respective Channel, which should give you an overview of the Channel members and their status.
In Teams, go to the channel, click More options > Manage channel. From here you can turn on and turn off moderation, add team members as moderators, and set preferences. Channel moderation is a per-channel setting.
In Teams for your personal life, you have the option to block a contact if necessary. Go to the chat of the contact you want to block. Tap your contact's name at the top of the chat. From there tap Block contact.
There is an option in messsging policies In the Teams admin center that allow owners to delete messages in a Team. That needs enabled and slot need to make sure it's enabled on the specific teams settings tab. Once both of these are on you should be able to delete all messages on that team assuming you are an owner.
Delete text messages
- On your Android device, open the Voice app .
- Open the tab for Messages .
- Tap the conversation.
- Touch and hold the message you want to remove.
- In the top right, tap Delete .
- Tap Delete to confirm.
In order to delete a file, navigate to the files tab within the specific team/chat where the file is located. Click the three dots next to the file you'd like to delete and click “Delete”. This will delete the file for everyone in the group.
