It has since appeared in the 2006 film Silent Hill as "Red Pyramid", in the 2007 first-person shooter Silent Hill: The Arcade as a boss, and in the fifth installment of the series, Silent Hill: Homecoming, as the "Bogeyman".

In terms of measurable facts, Pyramid Head is strong enough to drag and lift the Great Knife with one hands, whereas James, a normal male of presumably average strength, has to struggle to drag it with both hands, and use both hands to swing it. Which means that he's probably several times stronger than a human male.

Overall, Pyramid Head can be classed as a manifestation of James' guilt over what he did since nobody else can see them in the game. Each of the characters in the game see the world differently. Not only that, but the monsters look different to each person.
In a recent Twitter exchange, the artist said that telling us what's beneath the helmet is akin to a magician giving away how magic tricks work, but he did confirm that in "no way" was PH's helmet an actual part of the creature. However there is no way the helmet is the actual head of Pyramid Head.

With his great knife, he can dig trenches into the ground which, when a survivor steps on them, causes them to alert Pyramid Head of their location and gives them the status effect Torment.

However, judging by educated estimates on Twitter, it's possible that Pyramid Head will come out in Dead By Daylight at 11:00 ET.
