- Visiting a Local RCN Office in your area - please call 1-800-746-4726 before visting to ensure your equipment can be received at that location.
- Shipping the equipment back to RCN - RCN will provide you with a prepaid FedEx shipping label. Please see instructions below.
Click Accounts & Passwords under RCN Webmail in the right navigation bar. In the Reset Passwords area, select the email address from the drop down list. Enter the new password twice and submit.

If the TiVo remote control does not work, press any button on the remote control and check whether the amber light above the TiVo button flashes. If the amber light does not flash, make sure the batteries are positioned correctly in the remote control. If they are correctly positioned, try a new set of batteries.

Here's how you can cancel via phone call: Call 800-RING-RCN (800-746-4726) Ask them to cancel the service. Ask to confirm the cancelation.
To restart the TiVo Roamio/Mini, go to TiVo Central screen and select 'Settings & Messages,' then 'Help,' then 'Restart or Reset. ' Then select 'Restart the TiVo box. ' As a safety measure, enter press THUMBS DOWN three times, then press ENTER.
Most televisions will also need to be on either channel 3 or 4 when using a coaxial connection. If you're using an HDMI cable, take note of which HDMI input the cord is plugged into on your television, as most televisions today have multiple HDMI inputs.
Connecting an antenna or cable TV (no box)
- Make sure that your TV's power adapter is unplugged and all connected equipment is turned off.
- Connect a coaxial cable (not provided) to the ANT/CABLE IN jack on the back of your TV and to the antenna or cable TV wall jack.
- Plug your TV's power adapter into a power outlet, then turn on your TV.
How to Set Up a Router to a Cable Box
- Connect the coaxial cable running in from your wall into the "In" port on the cable box.
- Plug the first main coaxial cable into the "Out" port on the cable box.
- Connect the second and third coaxial cables into two of the "Out" ports on the router.
15. Does a smart TV need a cable box or broadband? If you want to continue receiving the same channels you have, then the answer is yes: You still need a cable or satellite box, because no other option will deliver the same channels and stations in the same way.
Connection via antenna cable
- Connect the antenna cable to the antenna input of the Set-Top Box.
- Connect a second antenna cable from the Set-Top Box to the TV.
- After connecting all cables or devices switch on your TV.
Full HD TVs and regular Blu-ray players will need a standard HDMI 1.4 cable to connect them to other devices – like your Sky box. Tip: If you have a Smart TV that connects to the internet, you can also get an HDMI cable with built-in Ethernet – so you won't need as many cables.
Connect a cable or satellite boxMake sure the TV and cable or satellite box are turned off. Connect an HDMI cable to your cable or satellite box's HDMI out port, which should be located on the back. Connect the other end of the HDMI cable to any of the empty HDMI ports on your Samsung TV.
Use the coaxial cable to connect your cable wall outlet to the IN input on the back of the HD Set-Top Box/DVR. Using the HDMI cable, plug one end into the HDMI output on the back of the HD Set-Top Box/DVR, and the other end into the HDMI input on the back of your TV.
To connect your TV to a cable outlet, you will need to use a coaxial cable cord. Begin by connecting one end of the coaxial cable cord to the cable outlet. Insert the knob straight into the outlet hole, and turn clockwise until securely fastened.
If you are having trouble with your television's cable box, there can be a variety of troubling symptoms, including anything from static to no picture whatsoever. The image might be frozen, the channel might not change or playback features might not work.
My set top box won't switch on
- Check your cables. Check the power cable is securely connected to your set top box. Perform the same check at the wall socket and ensure it is switched on.
- Try another electrical socket. Unplug the set top box and connect it in to another socket.
- Test other electrical applicances. Check if the lights in your room are working.
