- Begin with a greeting. Always open your email with a greeting, such as “Dear Lillian”.
- Thank the recipient. If you are replying to a client's inquiry, you should begin with a line of thanks.
- State your purpose.
- Add your closing remarks.
- End with a closing.
Reply, Acknowledge, AnswerAcknowledge − An acknowledgement of an email means that you received it, read it and the recipient acknowledges the content. Acknowledgement can be simple, like thanks, got it or I am not sure or we will have meeting about this next week or you can write I will circle back after that.

- Tap and hold the message, then tap Reply .
- To reply privately to someone who sent a message in a group, tap and hold the message, then tap More options > Reply privately.

If there's a clear question that you're intended to answer, then obviously a response is required, and maybe a speedy one at that—or one within 24 hours.

Depends upon the particular nature of the note, but an acknowledgement iof some sort s usually good even if just to let the person know you received the thank you. In most cases, a simple "You're welcome" is sufficient. You could also say something like, "I'm glad you enjoyed/had a good time/whatever, etcetera.
This could happen for two main reasons; Outlook hasn't been activated yet or your trial has expired. You have no email account configured (anymore).
Click the original message then reply all. In the new reply all message window Ctrl A to select all the text including the signature then Ctrl V to paste the text/images from the previous reply. Close your Reply draft and save your work. Reopen the same draft as Reply All and those extra recipients should now be added.
Create a no-reply email account just as you would any other account with your email service provider. Log into your email and click “Add user,” “Add email address, ” "Add Account" or similar. Type "no-reply" into the username field and then "no-reply" into the first or last name fields for this email account.

Reply to All includes myselfIf your From address is the same as the address the message was sent to, Outlook can properly identify your address and will not include it in a 'reply to all'. Outlook is using the x500 address, not the SMTP address (Exchange mailboxes only)
What is the fix for this? Their licenses are activated and Office has been updated as of today. I've tested this problem in different versions of Outlook and all of them have the same behavior as yours. If the option is not enabled, the three buttons are greyed out.
You can change a plain text message to HTML.
- In the message, click Reply, Reply All, or Forward.
- If you're working in the Reading Pane, click Pop Out. Note: If you aren't working in the Reading Pane, you don't need to do this.
- In the message window, click Format Text > HTML.
If you've set Outlook Express to use plain text, you won't be able to make any changes to the font used in your messages. Plain text, as the name implies, doesn't accept any formatting at all. To change this setting, open the "Tools" menu and select "Options." Open the "Send" tab and choose "HTML" as the email format.

If you have preset the font formatting for replying/forwarding emails in advance in Outlook, and set the signature font color as automatic, the signature font color will change to preset color automatically when replying or forwarding.
Import HTML emails in Outlook 365
- Choose the "attach" function and "add" it to the toolbar.
- Open the "attach a file" window from the quick access toolbar.
- Select the HTML file you need to import BUT do not click to INSERT yet.
- Switch the "insert" button with the "insert as a text" button and click.
- Here's the magic!
Go to File > Options. In the Outlook Options dialog box, select Mail. Select the Compose messages in this format drop-down arrow and choose the format you want to use as the default for new emails. Select OK.
