Touch “Settings” icon from Home screen or under main menu. Touch “Sound”. You will see a Volume Bar. Please drag to adjust the volume.

Select Sound & notification. Select Volume. Select 'Alert Sounds' or 'Media'. Press the bottom of the navigation pad (to decrease volume) or the top of the navigation pad (to increase volume) then select OK.

Ringtone for all calls
- From the home screen, press the OK button on the keypad.
- Scroll and select Settings.
- Scroll right to the 'Personalization' tab.
- Select Sound > Tones > Ringtones.
- Select from the available ringtones that are available.
From the Home screen, tap Apps > tap People > tap the name of the desired contact > tap Menu > clear the All calls to voicemail check box. That didn't work for my Alcatel. My phone also suddenly went straight to message bank.
Changing the Time on Your Alcatel-Lucent Phone System

How do I change a handset's name?
- From the main reception handset (4039) press the left arrow across to the menu tab,
- Select Operator,
- Enter operator password (default is help1954),
- Select subscriber.
- Enter the extension number of the handset you wish to change.
- Select Name.
- Modify as required then press OK.
To enable Call Forwarding, dial *72, followed by the area code and phone number where you would like your calls forwarded. Tap the "Phone" icon at the bottom of the screen. The call will be connected and then disconnected. Call Forwarding is now disabled, and you will receive all incoming calls on this handset.

Conference Calling:While your first party is on the line, press the white soft key next to New Call on your display. Dial 9 plus the telephone number (or the 4 digit extension number) of the second party. Once the second party answers, press the white soft key next to Conference on your display.
Tip: Ask if anyone is using a cell phone and, if so, ask that they mute their line. To mute ones line press *6, to un-mute press *6 again. Tip: Mute all callers by pressing *5. Have each participant un-mute their line one by one by pressing *6 to isolate the source of the echo.
Press "*6" to mute a phone that does not have a mute button or feature readily available. Press "*6" again to take mute off the call. This only works on conference calls.
If you have an Android phone, you can mute your phone from the call screen. Your call screen has different buttons including a mute button (circled below). It is a microphone with a slash line through it. Please click on this button to mute and unmute your hone.
*5 Mute – Control whether or not participants are heard in the conference. Press *5 once to mute all participants. Participants can unmute themselves by pressing *6. Press *5 again to mute all participants.
To mute yourself during a Zoom meeting, you'll need to bring up the toolbar. On a PC or Mac, position your mouse over the Zoom window and it will pop up. Muting means that you don't hear them - so if the background noise suddenly stops, you've been muted. (They can't mute you so they don't hear you.) As long as you can hear the background, you're not muted.
On iOS and Android mobile devices, you can mute or unmute your microphone even when you are not in Circuit or your device is locked. The "Mute" button looks like a microphone with a slash through it. Muting the call will turn off your iPhone's microphone. You'll still be able to hear the other person, but they won't be able to hear you.
The mute button cuts off the microphone on your phone. This means that you can still hear the caller but they cannot hear you. As the caller will then have no indication that the call is still live, the mute button should only be used for short pauses in conversation.
How do you know? - Unless you are on a multi cast conferencing system with a user interface, there is no way to knowing if your call is on mute. When you start the call listen to and focus on the background sound. When the mute is ON, the background sound would not be heard anymore.
