The drawing canvas is the area in which you will create and/or modify images. By default, Photoshop gives you a drawing canvas to work with, but you can easily open another one by using the "New" menu choice from the "File" menu item. For the moment though, let's just use the default canvas given to us by Photoshop.
The image canvas is the work area of the image and defines the image dimensions — for example, 200 × 300 pixels. If you need more space to add elements to an image, you can increase the canvas size, or you can resize the canvas to make it smaller. If you want to resize by adjusting the image size, see Resizing images.

Follow these quick-and-easy steps to change your canvas size:
- Choose Image→Canvas Size. The Canvas Size dialog box appears.
- Enter new values in the Width and Height text boxes.
- Specify your desired anchor placement.
- Select your canvas color from the Canvas extension color pop-up menu and click OK.
Select the artboard in the layers menu. Click the drop-downmenu in the upper right corner and select "delete artboard". It will give you the option to delete the artboard and contents or the artboard only. Actually, what You can do is to File->Export->Artboards to files and save as PSD.

- In the sidebar to the right of the Canvas Dashboard, click Start a New Course.
- Complete the "Start a New Course" form:
- When you have completed the "Start a New Course" form, click Create Course.

- select the picture that you want to create white background.
- Click picture tools> Recolor> Set white color.
- In the picture click the color you want to make transparent.
- Select the picture.
- Press CTRL+T.

Canvases are transparent by default. Try setting a page background image, and then put a canvas over it. If nothing is drawn on the canvas, you can fully see the page background. Think of a canvas as like painting on a glass plate.
2.Make a transparent Photoshop image
- Click the Opacity drop-down menu in the Layers panel and choose a percentage lower than 100%. The lower you go, the more transparent the image will be.
- Click File on the top menu and choose Save As and select PNG from the drop-down menu. You now have a transparent Photoshop image.
Click the picture that you want to create transparent areas in. Under Picture Tools, on the Format tab, in the Adjust group, click Recolor. Click Set Transparent Color, and then click the color in the picture or image that you want to make transparent.
Select the Magic Wand tool . (If the tool isn't visible, access it by holding down the Quick Selection tool .) Specify one of the selection options in the options bar. The Magic Wand tool's pointer changes depending on which option is selected.
