So, for a Polycom RealPresence Desktop PC, CODEC or mobile location you enter the IP address in the dial window and click Join. You are then greeted by Zoom and asked to enter the Meeting ID. You can enter the Meeting ID with the keypad in the application keyboard. You join just like a Zoom endpoint.
Zoom is available free of charge to anyone and the basic free version offers all the facilities most people will need. However, as with anything, you get what you pay for.
The pairing feature allows for you to join an H. 323/SIP device into a Zoom meeting without entering the Meeting ID from the device.

Instructions
- Sign in to the Zoom web portal with Zoom user credentials that have the Zoom Rooms privilege.
- Click Room Management > Zoom Rooms.
- Click Add Room.
- Type the Room name.
- (Optional) If you've already linked a calendar service, you can choose the calendar for this room at this time.
IP usage report
- Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
- In the navigation panel, click Dashboard.
- At the top of the Dashboard screen, click the Meetings tab.
- Click IP Usage Report.
Zoom Rooms is a software-based room system that provides an integrated experience for audio conferencing, wireless screen sharing, and video conferencing. Zoom Rooms can be used for room-only attendees, or remote attendees joining from another room, from their desktop, or from their mobile device.
With the Zoom mobile app on Android and iOS, you can start or join a meeting. By default, the Zoom mobile app displays the active speaker view. Click Phone Call.
- Select the country you're calling from in the flag drop-down menu.
- Call one of the numbers provided.
- Enter your meeting ID followed by #.
- Enter your participant ID followed by #.
- Enter the passcode, if prompted, followed by #.
Enter the zoom meeting SIP address (provided by your host invitation) using the keyboard symbol in the bottom right hand corner of the keypad. ie 123456789@zoom.aarnet.edu.au or Personal Link Name 3. Press the Call icon to connect the call.
Android
- Sign in to the Zoom mobile app.
- Start a meeting.
- Tap Participants in the host controls to display the participants list.
- Tap a participant's name to manage a specific participant.
Web Browser
- Open Chrome.
- Go to join.zoom.us.
- Enter your meeting ID provided by the host/organizer.
- Click Join. If this is your first time joining from Google Chrome, you will be asked to open the Zoom client to join the meeting.
You can automatically include a Join from your browser link or you can require participants to attempt to download Zoom first. The participant can click on Join from your browser. They will be prompted to enter their name and then be able to join the meeting.
When you are in a Zoom meeting and you are muted, hold the spacebar when you want to talk and the Zoom window is in focus. Your screen will show a message indicating that you are temporarily unmuted and the microphone will appear green when you talk.
If your video is on during a meeting with multiple participants, it automatically displays to all participants, including yourself. If you show yourself, you can see how you look to others. You can control whether to hide or show yourself in your own video display for each meeting.
The next time you set up a meeting, uncheck “Use my Personal Meeting ID” to make sure invitees receive a unique link to the meeting and not your PMI. 2. Enable the “Waiting Room” feature. The “Waiting Room” feature means no one can join the call unless the host manually admits them.
A Zoom account is not required if you are strictly joining Zoom Meetings as a participant. If someone invites you to their meeting, you can join as a participant without creating an account.
See who attendedThe attendee list for all meetings lives in the Zoom Account Management > Reports section. Look for Usage Reports, and then click Meeting to find the meeting you want, select the report type and date range, and generate the report.
Overview. Panelists are full participants in the meeting. They have access to most host controls including sharing video and viewing the attendee list. You must be assigned panelist permissions by the webinar host.
Android. With the Zoom mobile app, you can start an instant meeting to test your video. If this is your first time joining a Zoom meeting from this device, you will be asked to allow Zoom permission to access the camera and microphone.
Join a meeting by clicking on a Zoom link provided by the meeting host => follow the prompts to download and run Zoom => enter the meeting ID if prompted => click to join the audio conference. When you're in the meeting, you may click on the Start Video button to start your video.
You can practice on your own by:
- Opening a Zoom session on your main computer as host and.
- Entering your Zoom session on another device (such as another computer, tablet etc) as a student.
Android: Go to Settings > Apps & notifications > App permissions > Microphone and switch on the toggle for Zoom.
