TAGBILARAN CITY, Bohol – Panglao Island is still safe for bathing, a local official said. The island, considered the crown jewel of Bohol's tourism, is composed of the towns of Panglao and Dauis.
According to the 2015 census, it has a population of 33,553 people. It is one of two municipalities that make up
Panglao Island (the other being Dauis).

There is about 20 km from Tagbilaran to Alona Beach. The best way to get from Cebu to Bohol is to use the fast ferry (a 2-hour trip). There are mainly two main ferry companies that do the route Cebu City – Tagbilaran several times per day: SuperCat and Ocean Jet.
How to Get to Bohol. The fastest and easiest way is by plane. Cebu Pacific Air, Philippine Airlines (PAL), and AirAsia Zest operate multiple flights from Manila to Tagbilaran City, the capital of Bohol. Travel time is around 1 hour and 15 minutes.
The other option is to fly from Singapore to Manila, and from there take a domestic flight to Bohol Tagbilaran Airport. You can fly to Manila with Singapore Airlines, Tigerair or Cebu Airlines with daily flights. From Manila to Bohol, AirAsia, Philippines Airlines and Cebu Pacific have early morning and midday flights.
