Make sure WiFi is on in your device settings. Make sure your device is connected to your Xfinity home network and not the Xfinity WiFi network or another wireless network by accident. Restart your device, open the Xfinity Stream app, and see if the app recognizes that you're connected to your home network.
If you're just cancelling TV or phone service, but keeping internet, they won't give you a good deal on the first call. They'll tell you that you can only get discounts by keeping TV. If you call back a month later, all of a sudden they'll have all sorts of new deals for you.

How to connect
- Find the Ethernet port on the back of your TV.
- Connect an Ethernet cable from your router to the port on your TV.

15. Does a smart TV need a cable box or broadband? If you want to continue receiving the same channels you have, then the answer is yes: You still need a cable or satellite box, because no other option will deliver the same channels and stations in the same way.

Instead of having boxes for all your TVs, you can opt to keep the cable on your main TV and consider using an antenna to receive programming on one more of your additional TVs. If any of your TVs is a Smart TV, you can access movies and TV shows via internet streaming.

If you have a Comcast DVR that TV is free, but now that you need a digital converter box for other TVs in the house you have to pay $5.99 a month for every additional TV. Long gone are the days of paying for cable TV and hooking up as many TVs as you want.
