She stated that there is no time limit on when you finished your nursing education to make you eligible (or ineligible) to take the NCLEX and you should go ahead and apply.
When the test will stop for you depends on the level at which you are consistently performing. So, a test-taker can pass or fail the NCLEX-RN with 75 questions, 265 questions, or any number in between; though the average number of questions is 119, with approximately 14% of test-takers going all the way to 265.
To pass the NCLEX, students should plan to spend a minimum of 1-2 month studying – effective and targeted studying. If for whatever reason, the test-taker does not pass, it is possible to retake the NCLEX after a 45 day waiting period.
