The Death CertificateUsually it is the funeral director who is responsible for registering the death with the Registry within 7 days of the burial or cremation. The Death Certificate is different to the Cause of Death Certificate that is given by a doctor at the time of death.
One of the simplest ways to find out if someone you know has passed away is by using an obituary search online. There are plenty of reliable sites to search for obituaries, but one of the most reputable is Legacy.com. This website lets you browse by last name, country, date or keywords.
Details of the person named on the certificateYour name and date of birth. Name and age of the person that's died. Your relationship to that person. Date and place of death.

Certificate feesCertificates cost £11 and are sent 4 days after you apply. If you do not have a GRO index reference number, you'll have to pay £3 extra for each search. Certificates are sent 15 working days after you apply. If you need the certificate sooner, you can use the priority service for £35.
Registration of births and deaths done within 21 days of the event is free of cost. From 21 to 30 days after the event, the MOH will provide the certificate after collecting a fine of Rs 25.
They have access to their registries on their website, with marriage records being available up to 60 years ago. In Western Australia, you should contact the Department of the Attorney General for marriage records. You can search their records online and marriages are available from 75 or more years ago.

The National Death Index (NDI) is a Commonwealth database that contains records of deaths registered in Australia since 1980. Data comes from Registrars of Births, Deaths and Marriages in each jurisdiction, the National Coronial Information System and the Australian Bureau of Statistics.
Once a medical certificate of the cause of death has been issued, either the doctor or the funeral director sends the certificate to the Registrar of Births, Deaths and Marriages who will then issue a death certificate to the next of kin, upon application.
