If you're using Android, install a copy of the free file browser ES File Explorer.
- Navigate to the data/misc/wifi folder on your device — it will not be visible on non-rooted phones.
- Open the file called wpa_supplicant. conf and you will see a list of saved Wi-Fi networks complete with their passwords.
How would I find the password on Android? You need to have a rooted Android. Open the Root Explorer, the file called "wpa_supplicant. conf" or "wpa_supplicant" should be under /etc/wifi/wpa_supplicant.

Restart the iPhone or iPad that provides Personal Hotspot and the other device that needs to connect to Personal Hotspot. Make sure that you have the latest version of iOS. On the iPhone or iPad that provides Personal Hotspot, go to Settings > General > Reset, then tap Reset Network Settings.

Tap the Settings app to open it, then tap Personal Hotspot. Tap ?Wi-Fi Password, then tap the X on the right side of the Password field to delete the current password. Enter a new password, then tap Done to save your changes.
iPhone: How to use a personal hotspot and change passwords

How to set up a Personal Hotspot on your iPhone or iPad
- Go to Settings > Cellular or Settings > Personal Hotspot.
