From the Home screen, touch and hold the Recent Apps Key (in the Touch Keys bar) > Home screen settings to access the following settings to personalize your Home screen. Select Home: Sets the type of Home screen layout.
Press the SMART button on the remote control and select Settings > Option on the TV menu. Scroll down the page and select Mode Setting. To change the Mode Setting select Home or Store. (If Home is selected then the menu will exit.)
Disconnect and reconnect the HDMI cableSometimes, a bad connection may occur and cause this problem. Disconnect the HDMI cable from the HDMI Input terminal on the TV. Disconnect the HDMI cable from the HDMI Output terminal on the connected device.
The [Input] button is inbetween the [TV] button and the [3] button (second row, fourth button along). The symbol resembles a plug on a cable. Pressing the button cycles through the inputs, or after pressing it once you can use the [Arrow] buttons to cycle and the [OK] button to select.

Press the "INPUT" button located with the other buttons on your television. This button might also be called the "VIDEO" button. This button will switch between your television's video modes. If there is no such button on your television, simply press one of the channel changing buttons.
Return to the TV broadcast screen or switch inputs on my Android
- On the supplied remote control, press the HOME button.
- Select the input icon at the upper right of the screen.
- Select the preferred input.
Steps to change the input source of the TV.
- Press the INPUT button on the supplied TV remote.
- The input source screen will be displayed on the screen of the TV.
- Using the arrow keys, choose one of the input sources on the input selection screen.
- Confirm the selection by pressing the Enter button.
LG TV Keep Switching InputsIf your LG television continues to switch inputs, your device may require resetting. Additionally, your remote control may be defective, causing the problem without your knowledge.
Hold both your remote's MENU button and the TV's MENU button. You'll do this at the same time. On some models of remote and/or TV, the MENU button will be replaced by a SETTINGS button or a HOME button. Some models of remote will require you to press and hold the OK button here.
General Picture Settings
- Picture mode: Cinema or Movie (NOT Sports, Vivid, Dynamic etc)
- Sharpness: 0% (This is the most crucial one to set to zero — although Sony sometimes uses 50% for the “off” setting, confusingly.
- Backlight: Whatever is comfortable, but usually at 100% for daytime use.
- Contrast: 100%
- Brightness: 50%
on the remote control and select Settings >Option > Mode Setting, then press WHEEL or ENTER. 2. Check that Mode Setting is set to Home Use. on the remote control and select Settings >PICTURE > Aspect Ratio, then press WHEEL or ENTER.

LG TVs 4K TVs
- Press the Settings button.
- Scroll down to All Settings.
- Navigate to the General tab.
- Select HDMI ULTRA HD Deep Color. Each of the available HDMI ports should now be listed on the screen.
- Enable the feature on the ports of your choosing.
The default setting of graphic display resolution is 1920x1080. To change the resolution to 1280x720, you should set the resolution property to 1280x720 in appinfo.
While picture purists tend to bristle at Vivid-style picture modes, it's true that their high brightness/contrast, pumped up colors, and often over-sharpened presentation do a lot better at making a TV look good in a brighter environment with more competing ambient light.
