WWE legend Dusty Rhodes dies at age 69
Legendary professional wrestler Virgil Runnels Jr., better known as his ring name Dusty Rhodes, died on Thursday at the age of 69.WWE: Wrestling world mourns death of three stars. Tributes have been paid to three former stars of the wrestling world who died on the same day this weekend. Brian Lawler, Nikolai Volkoff and Brickhouse Brown all passed away on Sunday aged 46, 70 and 57 respectively.

Hart died on May 23, 1999, due to injuries suffered following an equipment malfunction and subsequent fall from the rafters of Kemper Arena in Kansas City, Missouri, United States, during his ring entrance at the WWF's Over the Edge pay-per-view event.

As in other professional wrestling promotions, WWE shows are not legitimate contests, but purely entertainment-based performance theater, featuring storyline-driven, scripted, and choreographed matches, though matches often include moves that can put performers at risk of injury, even death, if not performed correctly.

On May 21, she was buried at the Saint James Episcopal Church Cemetery in St. James, New York. Also on May 21, TMZ reported that Massaro's cause of death was due to an apparent suicide by hanging.
Singer Tiny Tim suffered a fatal heart attack while turning to leave the stage during a benefit concert in Minneapolis. Guitarist/singer Johnny "Guitar" Watson collapsed and died onstage during a performance in Yokohoma, Japan. The cause of death was a heart attack.
Bret Hart's entry into WCW had been hailed at the time as a major coup for the company, but it subsequently failed to utilize his popular appeal. Hart's active wrestling career ended in 2000 after he suffered a serious concussion during a match with Goldberg.
Rey Mysterio Jr. Óscar Gutiérrez (born December 11, 1974), better known by his ring name Rey Mysterio, is a Mexican-American professional wrestler currently signed to WWE, where he performs on the Raw brand. He departed the company in 2015 and then wrestled on the independent circuit, before returning to WWE in 2018.
Khali participated in the Intercontinental Championship battle royal at Battleground on 20 July, but the match was won by The Miz. On 31 October episode of SmackDown, Khali was defeated by Rusev in what would be his final match in WWE until 2017, as on 13 November his contract expired and he left WWE.
As of April 2019, there have been seven recorded deaths resulting from sanctioned contests and nine from unregulated bouts.
