Open the PDF file in Adobe Acrobat Pro and provide its password to view it. Click the lock icon at the left side of the window and click “Permission Details”. You can also click File > Properties and click the “Security” tab. Click the “Security Method” box, select “No Security”, and click “OK” to remove the password.

How to Lock /Unlock or Disable Biometrics Online
- Visit UIDAI's online portal to lock or unlock your biometrics.
- Select the “Lock/Unlock Biometrics” from the Aadhaar Services section.
- Enter the 12-digit Aadhaar number and the security code.
- Click on the Send OTP option.
The downloaded copy of Aadhaar card is password protected. You have to enter the password to open the masked Aadhaar copy which can then be printed and shared wherever required. The 8-digit masked Aadhaar password is in the following format: First four letters of your name and year of your birth.
