computer science and electronics and in electronics. and computer science as I already discussed you that there are 35 seats for each streams. so grade up has started 40 days study plan for electronics. and mechanical.
So, risking ISRO only on the GATE preparation wouldn't be fair. For ISRO preparation, you can read some supplementary topics to give an edge to your preparation. Topics like microwaves devices, programming of 8085, 8051, VHDL. So, risking ISRO only on the GATE preparation wouldn't be fair.
Find the answer for last 10 years question of ISRO technical assistant exam. Model question paper also available from ISRO website. Select your strong area and prepared to become more stronger. Find your weak area to come up with some good level of knowledge.
But for each topic, syllabus is more advanced than gate and weightage of various topics are completely different. Try to solve each question paper in stipulated time (atleast past 3 years), during the preparation time. If you are already preparing for gate, start ISRO test preparation directly by solving previous year.
Pursuing courses is the first step to become a scientist. Firstly, choose a specialization in which field you want to become a scientist and pursue courses accordingly. “If you want to become a scientist at NASA, then you must choose science, technology, engineering and Mathematics centered education”.
Try to sit on a table and chair in a room without any disturbance. Keep a watch to help concentrate on speed. After giving the test, a short break can be allowed and then checking the test with the solutions should be done. Candidate can check the test himself or can have someone else check the answers for him/her.
The exam is apparently easier than the GATE examination. The only disability you have here is that, you cannot rely on calculators. For GATE, you have the online calculator facility. Hence, the numerical problems will be quite simple to calculate but you gotta be quick in solving the questions.
As far as written exam is concerned GATE is more difficult than ISRO exam. ISRO's interview level is better than a lot of PSU's interview. Only problem with ISRO exam is that you have less time and no calculator but questions are mostly repeated from previous year IES and GATE papers.
Definitely !!! If Yu have passed all the subjects and have first class in graduation you are eligible to apply for ISRO. There is nothing like being brilliant or average in life. One may have less marks but he may be good at decision making skills and can work in real time.
Nothing is difficult in this world, provided one has prepared for it in the right way. So many engineers & subject matter specialists have passed them & are now in ISRO. But you need a first class both in graduation & in PG, with some prior experience.
Those candidates who have completed B.E/B. Tech or M.Sc in below given specialization with above 60% marks are eligible for ISRO recruitment. There are no attempts limit in ISRO exam.
To get into ISRO the scientists said, “You have to be an Indian with a degree or diploma in Mechanical /Electronics/Electrical/Civil disciplines. Open positions include Scientists, Technicians, Technical Assistants, Admin Officers, Purchase Officers, etc. depending on eligibility.

As a Scientist/Engineer 'SC', work will be to design, develop and test different systems which will be used in either present ongoing projects or future projects related to ISRO. All new recruits are required to attend a 2 month ISRO Induction Training Program.
Luckily, there are simple steps you c I did it in 3–4 months. I've heard of other people too doing it in the same time. Some others did it in 6 months while few did it with 1 year of preparation !
No, Calculator is not allowed in ISRO Examination conducted by ICRB. Normally questions asked are similar to previous GATE questions of medium to low difficulty, but without calculator many of it becomes tough to solve.
Generally, ICRB(ISRO centralized recruitment board) conducts the exam once in a year on regular basis, so you can expect notification may come in the month of April/May- 2018.
you should leave your current job or not depends on your interest. this job is not very simple nor very difficult. no work time limit, no very fancy package or office, sometime interesting and sometime dull work etc. still if you want to come, welcome to ISRO.
Re: ISRO entrance test for chemical engineers
you can apply in ISRO exam after your btech courses in chemical engg. minimum 65% marks in btech is require to join in ISRO. age limit 21-29.So the first and foremost thing you need to do is know the topics which you'll have to revise to be prepared to face the ISRO interview questions. . The main things that the interviewers are looking for are: Clarity of basic concepts of your field. Application of those concepts in solving practical engineering problems.
All you need to have is a proper BE/B. Tech Degree in a specified branch (in your case ECE) with an eligible aggregate. ISRO recruits B. Tech graduates every year through its recruitment Board named as ICRB (ISRO Centralised Recruitment Board) from different branches like mechanical, electronics, computer science etc.
ICRB stands for ISRO CENTRALISED RECRUITMENT BOARD(ICRB). The exams are conducted by ICRB for ANNUAL RECRUITMENT OF SCIENTIST/ENGINEER 'SC' WITH BE/B.TECH OR EQUIVALENT DEGREE IN ELECTRONICS, MECHANICAL AND COMPUTER SCIENCE. You can refer to the following link for more information.

Short answer : No. Because you haven't got a job yet at ISRO. From your question, it does not seem like u have a job from ISRO already . Also you haven't mentioned the branch (CS/IT, Mechanical, ECE) Any engineering branch students can get software job these days so it's not very clear from your question.
Open positions include Scientists, Technicians, Technical Assistants, Admin Officers, Purchase Officers, etc. depending on eligibility. There will be an exam for each type of post followed by interview for selection. One can also get into ISRO by enrolling into IIST complete the course and get absorbed.”
