With only one required class, Chicago Booth most definitely takes a different approach to the process of getting an MBA. Chicago Booth is not a prescriptive environment, and the emphasis on, and appreciation for, ideas make it a place for mavericks and renegades as well as more traditional types.
Applicant requirements
Full-time MBA applicants require a college degree equivalent to the four-year American baccalaureate degree. Three-year international degrees are also accepted. New students are admitted to the full-time MBA program in the autumn quarter only.A quant focus (and not just on finance).

The finance and economics faculty members at Chicago Booth are outstanding, led by professors such as Eugene F.Overall, Booth is a great school for those who like to think analytically. Flexible curriculum and excellent faculty are fortes. The career services is very good and is one of the few programs that let's you opt for in campus recruiting.

Tl;dr: The methodology favors UChicago's culture, and its reputation among academia. UChicago is higher ranked than Stanford (US News) because UChicago is better at generating the right stats for the methodology. You could call it gaming the system, but that's a little unfair since it's not all deliberate.
You will need exceptionally good grades to get into University of Chicago. Given the school's very highly selective admissions, acceptance at University of Chicago extremely difficult and unlikely even with a 4.0 GPA. The school should be considered a reach even if you have a 4.0 GPA.
Your Safety. The University of Chicago's security and transportation services cover campus and extend throughout much of the nearby Hyde Park neighborhood. Among the Top 10 Best Colleges in America, the University of Chicago's campus is one of the safest.
Ilknur. The University of Chicago has a reputation as the place where fun comes to die. In addition to that, not only Sigma Chi is rising as the new fraternity of UChicago but also other frats are much larger this year. These all mean that there is definitely a party scene on campus.
Hyde Park is a part of the south side of Chicago. Generally speaking, the immediate area around U of C campus is safe. As you head away from Hyde Park, the areas get a bit sketchy. As in any other major city, common sense prevails.
Among academics and high-level professionals, the University of Chicago is every bit as prestigious as Harvard, Oxford, or any other top-tier university in the world.
UChicago is not as well known as Ivy League schools. Among people people who matter in the real world, UChicago is definitely as prestigious as Ivy League schools. For college applicants in 2019 UChicago is not quite as prestigious as Harvard, Yale, and Princeton, but it's on par with the rest of the Ivies.
Vanderbilt admissions officers do not conduct interviews and interviews are not a required part of the admissions process. Through our CoRPs (Commodore Recruitment Programs) Interviewing program, applicants are invited to request an interview from an alumnus/a in their local area.

The GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test) is a 3½-hour standardized exam designed to predict how test takers will perform academically in MBA (Masters in Business Administration) programs. GMAT scores are used by graduate business schools to make admission decisions.
