Well, Vivi isn't Heartless, but many of the black mages "appropriated" from his village in FF9 were like that, automatons who couldn't control what they were doing.

Quina cannot eat the monster so do not try, use s/he for healing.Kuja died; his time had pretty much run out before Zidane tried to save him (I think Garland says that he's going to die very soon near the end of Disk 3). He either died when the Iifa tree sort of shot vines at them, or he just "stopped" a while after.

What is the eat command? The Eat command is the ability required for obtaining new Blue Magic skills. Once Quina's enemies drop to less than 25% health of their maximum hit points (HP), Quina can instantly defeat the enemy by eating it. If Quina successfully eats their enemy, a new skill will be learned.
