If you're crafty, you can make your own faux leather. Choose the fabric and the acrylic paint you want to use. Add a little water to your acrylic paint, and then slather it onto your base fabric. The fabric has to be completely covered in paint so it'll seep through to the other side.
How do you permanently mark leather? Leather can be permanently marked, for writing or drawing, using special leather pens or markers. If you'd like to permanently mark it, say for sewing, pricking wheels or irons can work best.
Pour undiluted acrylic paint into a clean paint tray. Wet one side of a clean foam brush and then paint leather with long, even strokes. Make sure to cover the entire surface, including seams, in a thin coat.

Leather Lover: Stickers on Leather. Do not put stickers on leather because it can permanently damage the surface of the skins when removed. If you have already placed a sticker on your leather garment, DO NOT ATTEMPT TO REMOVE IT!
HTV works best on cotton or polyester or cotton/poly blends. Other synthetic fabrics, like acrylic, won't work correctly because they will melt under the heat of an iron. For more advanced crafters, you can apply HTV to mugs, baseball hats, footballs and even wood!

+ Layer your heat transfer vinyl on top of your leather and put your teflon sheet on top. + Using your iron or easy press, press your vinyl onto your leather for 10 seconds. + Pull up the transfer sheet on top of your heat transfer vinyl. If the heat transfer is not stuck to your leather, press again!
Run the blender pen over the paper pressing moderately hard so that it soaks through the paper. Hold firmly onto the paper so that it does not wander. Once the blender fluid reaches the ink on the back of the paper it liquefies and transfers to the leather.
Apply a heavy coating of the photo transfer on the top of the paper where the ink is and then apply it to the shoes. Use your fingers to flatten it and get any air bubbles out. Then wait 24 hours for it to dry. Yes, this is killer.
