How do I receive and make calls when roaming internationally, like contacting T-Mobile Customer Care? In short – the answer to “Why is Metro PCS cheaper than T Mobile” is their customer service is designed to be inept. Going from a $25/month cell phone plan to $30 per month cell phone plan it's not much of a price difference but I figured I wouldn't be able to get a refund for the unused days.

How can I activate international roaming?
- Android Devices.
- Go to Settings > Wireless/Tethering & Network > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names.
- Select 'New APN'
- Select the APN option and when prompted type aforementioned settings.
- Save these settings.
- Ensure data roaming and International roaming are enabled.
Do I want data roaming on or off? If you are going to a country that isn't covered by Roam Like Home and are happy using wi-fi or don't think you'll use mobile data during the day, turn data roaming off. Android: Open Settings, look for Network & internet, click Mobile networks and flick the slider next to Roaming 'On.
Just got back from Germany using our T-Mobile phones. No data or text charges. As T-Mobile is a German company, you should expect great coverage, and we went there expecting 4g or LTE but this is a service you must pay additional for (which is why T-Mobile USA will only guarantee that speed).
T-Mobile does not charge roaming. Data and messaging is free but phone calls are about 20 cents per minute.
Although T-Mobile is phasing out One and One Plus, it won't require existing customers to switch to Magenta or Magenta Plus.
