The current bundling offer provides a Telstra TV at no additional cost to any new contract customer on a plan costing $79 per month or higher. On the upside, using Telstra TV through a Telstra broadband connection gets you unmetered streaming of any content on BigPond Movies and select sports services like AFL Live.
Re: Telstra tv box and tv connection via wifiThis device allows you to stream content from BigPond Movies, and subscription services like Netflix, Stan and Foxtel Now. You can also stream live sport and free-to-air Catch Up TV straight to your TV.
If you do not have a Telstra ID, select “Manually activate” and follow the steps below:

You can own a Telstra TV today for $216 outright (remember, you still get the $125 Telstra TV Box Office credit), or if you like the ease of paying off your device for a low monthly price, you can purchase it for $9/mth over 24 months (min cost $216).
Telstra TV gives users customers access to both paid subscriptions (Netflix, Foxtel Now, Stan, etc.) and free TV, like the ones mentioned above. You'll also need a broadband connection of at least 3.5Mbps, but Telstra's NBN options should provide more than enough speed for buffer-free streaming.
What devices are supported by the Apple TV+ app? In Australia, Telstra TV uses Roku devices but there's no word yet whether they'll come with the Apple TV app.
Make sure the cords and connections are firmly plugged in. Turn your Telstra TV off at the power point, wait 20 seconds and then turn it on again. If the Telstra TV is getting power, the LED on the front of the Telstra TV will light up. Make sure your modem is working by accessing the internet from another device.
Telstra has decided to break down barriers and allow any customer, regardless of their internet provider, the chance to use its Telstra TV device. This includes free-to-air, catch up TV, Foxtel Now, Netflix, Stan, Kayo Sports, Telstra TV Box Office, Hayu, Animelab, Garage Entertainment and DocPlay,” the company says.

Just to clarify, the Telstra TV does stream Free to Air TV via their catch-up apps. Some have live feed streaming. What it does not do is connect to the aerial to pull the broadcast from it.
Yet, there's always room for improvement. And in the pursuit of self-betterment, the 2019 Telstra TV brings with it new features like hands-free voice control plus a free-to-air-buffer function. And the everyday experience of using the 2019 Telstra TV is good but it's rarely as good as it feels like it should be.
The Telstra TV does not let users hack the DNS settings, which some might want to do to gain access to more content on certain services by circumventing geo-blocks. But because the device doesn't let you download extra apps, there's no real need to do this. All TV, all in one place would be nice.
Here's how:
- Plug your external device into the USB port on the back of your Telstra TV box.
- Go to the 'apps' menu on Your Telstra TV.
- Add the ROKU Media Player app.
- n the ROKU app, select Video, Music, or Photo.
- Select the show or music you want to play.
- Select OK.
Telstra TV gives you access to Foxtel Now plus even more world class entertainment.
Try Foxtel Now from Telstra Free for a Month. Telstra post-paid customers who want to add Foxtel Now can now get their first 30 days absolutely free. Stream your favourite shows instantly on Foxtel Now.
Foxtel is, of course, part-owned by Telstra, but if you were thinking there'd be no difference in the actual service you receive once your cable or satellite box is delivered, you'd be absolutely right. Foxtel is Foxtel, regardless of how you ultimately get it.
Telstra TV does not have the ability to set recording for movies and TV shows. However, with Live Pause you are able to pause and rewind free-to-air live TV for up to 30 minutes.
Re: Telstra TV on multiple TV'sYou can have multiple Telstra TV boxes and set them up with the same log ins for netflix and the like, each additional box would need to be purchased and is currently $109RRP outright, or you can move the box to different TVs as you need it but it depends on what suits your needs best.
The Hardware. The Telstra TV is a rebadged Roku 2 device. The decision to launch Telstra TV powered by the Roku 2 and not the newer Roku 3 with its innovative remote control that doubles as a Bluetooth headphone receiver, or the 4k video streaming Roku 4, was a matter for Telstra of timing and price.
The Telstra TV supports Miracast and does not support Chromecast or Airplay. There are apps available in the google play store that will allow you to cast the screen of compatible Android phone to a Telstra TV.
Available from February 26, the new third-generation Telstra TV is sleeker and smaller than its predecessors, and comes bundled with a new Wi-Fi voice-enabled remote that can also turn your TV on and off and control its volume directly.
How much does Foxtel Now cost? Start watching Foxtel Now from $25 per month via our Entry Pack (including Pop and Lifestyle).
Telstra TV is the only device in Australia with the ability to search for specific titles, simultaneously across Live TV, all five free-to-air catch up apps and on demand apps like Foxtel Now, Netflix, Stan and BigPond Movies (to name a few).

Re: How do I get another Telstra TV box? Easiest way is to pop in to your nearest Telstra Shop and buy one there. Never be afraid to back yourself when trying new things, just always make sure you have 3 escape routes if things go wrong.
