Yet, interior walls provide privacy and separation. They can also act as sound barriers, insulators and even offer additional fire resistance. Two of the most common forms of interior wall materials are plaster and drywall. This new form of plaster grew in popularity because it could speed up the building process.
Well if you go by the spec a bag of Multi and Board finish will cover 10.25-75 m2 at a coverage of 2mm on Plaster board. As the manufacturer will tell you this is, of course, just a guide.
Plastering is not easy, even this takes practice. Lay the plaster on the wall or ceiling as quickly as you can and keep the thickness even. Do not worry about trowel marks just yet. Additionally, do not attempt to get the skim smooth at this stage.

Bonding helps plasterers achieve a smooth finish by providing a key as it simply sticks well to the surfaces it is applied to. In addition to using bonding plaster as a base coat for surfaces which will be plastered with a skim layer or polished afterwards, it can also be used on surfaces like concrete too.
The best plastering finishing trowel I've used is the Refina Superflex. It's better than the Marshalltown Superflex, it's better than the Nela Mediflex and it's also better than the Refina Plaziflex.
Different Types of Plaster. Bonding Plaster: Bonding is an undercoat plaster. This means it is the first coat, or undercoat to be applied to a new (or to be patched) wall. When it is trowelled off, it is scratched with a nail to give a “key” for the top coat, or finish plaster to adhere to.
A hawk is a tool used to hold a plaster, mortar, or a similar material, so that the user can repeatedly, quickly and easily get some of that material on the tool which then applies it to a surface. Hawks are most often used by plasterers along with a finishing trowel to apply a smooth finish of plaster to a wall.
They should include:

Plastering is the process of covering rough walls and uneven surfaces in the construction of houses and other structures with a plastic material, called plaster, which is a mixture of lime or cement concrete and sand along with the required quantity of water.
Painting plaster before it's fully dry can cause the paint to peel, giving you endless problems, but some bare plaster paints allow the plaster to continue breathing and drying after the paint's applied. Sometimes patches of new plaster don't dry out because of damp.
Paints designed to be applied directly to bare plaster are available in DIY stores. Watered-down emulsion produces a 'soft' edge on new plaster, whereas bare plaster paints often produce a 'harder' edge that can adversely affect the finish, so it is advisable to water down the first coat, if you can cope with the mess.
Plaster: very economical, and therefore more suitable for large holes and, of course, entire walls. Because of its smooth plastic texture, however, it will stand out like a sore thumb if used to fill holes in the middle of walls.

There are a few ways to speed up the process. Some are advices whilst others can actually damage your finished product. The best way is to use heaters. If you want your walls to dry faster then plant a few heaters around the worked area and let the plaster dry naturally.
You can tell when the plaster is dry by watching the colour change. When the plaster has a uniformed pale pink complexion then you can firmly say it's dried.
Allow the mold to dry for a minimum of 24 hours. Depending on the density of the plaster, this is sufficient time for it to dry thoroughly. Hold the mold lightly against your cheek. If the mold is cool, it is not finished drying.
Prior to the 1950s, most walls were built using a combination of vertical studs, horizontal wooden beams called laths and plaster seams. Because standard stud finders detect a change in density inside the wall, they don't work on lath and plaster -- the density inside these walls is not constant enough.
The traditional way of fixing to masonry is to use screws, but you cannot screw directly into a brick wall, a block wall, or stone, so you need to drill a hole, and then provide a material that can be screwed into, but will also hold the screw firmly in place.

Lath and plaster walls can't accept typical plastic anchors. Toggle or molly bolts are required. Be sure to use ones that are long enough to get behind the plaster and lath. Drilling a hole with a masonry bit will be required, more below on installing toggle and molly bolts.
Plaster has a higher-end look.
It can be applied in either a smooth, glossy finish or a stucco-like textured finish. While drywall is the standard in most houses today, plaster is still used for a variety of aesthetic upgrades.Lath and plaster walls can't accept typical plastic anchors. Use a toggle: If there simply aren't any studs where you want to mount the TV, then you need to use some sort of hollow wall anchor. Mounting a TV on drywall or plaster without attaching to a stud can be a very safe and reliable solution IF you know the limits of the wall and the toggles.
