Rena suddenly stabs Keiichi with Satoko's knife to "save" him from Oyashiro-sama's curse.
Mion and Rena are portrayed as the villains in this chapter; at the end of it, Keiichi kills them, believing they were about to murder him, before later tearing out his own throat.
Shion was killed by the allied forces of the Farmas Kingdom and Western Saints Church. She died in TenSura while protecting Shuna and the other children from the Blood Shadows. Rimuru later revived her as a Wicked Oni with his skill Wisdom King Raphael.
In Watanagashi-hen and Meakashi-hen, Shion tends to become envious very easily and frequently, which contributes to her progression of the Hinamizawa Syndrome, her violent insanity, and how she chooses to seduce the victims "to make sure they get what they deserve." In Meakashi-hen, Shion's inner "demon" awoke out of
A staple of the Higurashi no Naku Koro ni series is its grim (and, sometimes, excessively gory) depictions of death. It's fair to assume that most people who pick up the series are looking for a smorgasbord of graphic murder scenes, and Higurashi does not disappoint.
In 2010, Rika is in a park with Yuta when she gives him a birthday gift. The gift is a ring and the two promise to marry each other when they grow up. When they leave the park, Rika is killed in a car accident. Yuta then curses Rika, and caused her to be attached to him.
What actually happened to Keiichi at that point? Shion, who dressed up as Mion, stabbed Keiichi in the stomach. He survived and got admitted to a hospital after that. But he started having hallucinations of Mion trying to killing him and died of a heart attack a few days after.
Keiichi, in the end, confessed to being the shooter to his parents that night. His parents were greatly upset, but they also felt guilty for not hearing their son's "cry for help". For the sake of a new start, Keiichi's parents paid his bail and moved to a quiet town, Hinamizawa.
A continuation titled Higurashi: When They Cry - SOTSU began airing in July 2021. Before the airing of the first episode of Sotsu, Ryukishi posted on Twitter that Gou and Sotsu are meant to be the culmination of the Question Arcs, Kai, and Rei.
Bernkastel shares many similarities with Rika Furude from Higurashi no Naku Koro ni and is implied to be related to her and Frederica Bernkastel. Rika and Bern have similar blue hairstyles, and Bern wears a cat tail and transforms into a cat while Rika has referred to herself as a cat on many occasions in Higurashi.

During the end credits and music, Rika performs her dance. As villagers and the friends place their balls of cotton in the river, Shion arrives with Kasai and reveals she has a ball of cotton. Rika places her ball in the river and all watch a number of balls float by.
In a shock move at the end of the latest episode of Higurashi When They Cry: Gou, Studio Passione has announced that a season 2 by the name of 'Sotsu' is on the way!
In Higurashi: When They Cry – GOU, Hanyuu apparently disappears in the post-Matsuribayashi world, however she helps a teenage Rika return to 1983 when she dies again and uses her power to ensure Rika's memories stay intact when she dies before disappearing once more.
Now Shion is actually Shion on the stretcher before Shion was pretending to be Mion. This is important because when Keiichi encounters Mion by his house and she stabs him.
She then attacks Keiichi with a knife, chasing him down to his living room before getting knocked down to the floor. Keiichi hesitates for a moment and Rena stabs him in the chest, repeatedly impaling him while Keiichi tries to bludgeon her with a nearby clock radio.
Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni (“When the Cicadas Cryâ€) is one of the best horror anime of all time. Instead of cheap jump scares, Higurashi inspires terror in its brilliant plot and abrupt shifts in tone and characters. One particularly creepy character is Rena.
Satoshi seems to be the only protagonist who survives in all arcs, but this may be because he rarely appears in any of them. His fate after the death of Irie is very ambiguous due to Takano Miyo's eagerness to vivisect victims of Hinamizawa syndrome.
