Emirates is planning to launch a Netflix-style service that will let passengers stream their favourite shows and movies on demand. Passengers can choose from over 1,000 movies, TV box sets, and listen to tens of thousands of music tracks, podcasts and games before they board the flight.
American Airlines now offers live TV on 100 planes. Customers can watch live television on 100 domestic American Airlines aircraft, the airline announced Thursday. But airlines like American are now installing systems on their planes that use satellites, not ground towers, to bring passengers Wi-Fi.
You can check in TVs up to 300cm (118 inches) with a total weight not exceeding 32kg (70lb). The TV may be subject to overweight or oversized baggage fees depending on your baggage allowance. Through an analysis of the Federal Aviation Administration's CSRTG Aircraft Accident Database, TIME, which studied aircraft accidents during a 35-year span, discovered that middle seats in the rear of the aircraft were shown to have the best outcomes with a 28 percent fatality rate.

Exit rows, aisle or window seats, and anywhere close to the front are typically considered the best seats on a plane. On a short business trip, you might want an aisle seat near the front of the plane so you can debark as quickly as possible on arrival.

Review of Emirates. My one gripe is the reclining seats especially when the passenger in front keeps the seat reclined while food is being served. Emirates have gone the same way as other airlines by charging for preferred seats at 20.00 per flight adding 80.00 to the flight cost.

- Planes for the 14-1/2 hour flights between Seattle and Dubai are Boeing 777-300s.
- Emirates Economy Class seats are configured 3-4-3 on the 777-300ERs.

Emirates is reducing the number of meal services on long haul flights. For flights under seven hours, or from London to Dubai and back, there will now only be one meal, mid-way through the flight, instead of two.
“… alcohol consumption is not prohibited on our flights. Furthermore, alcohol is also served in the lounge in Dubai airport and available for purchase in the Duty Free.” It is a punishable offence to be under the influence of alcohol in public, including when transiting through the UAE.”
Liquor licences are not available to non-residents in the other Emirates, but it is possible for tourists and visitors to buy and drink alcohol in licensed venues, such as hotels, restaurants and clubs. In Dubai and all other emirates besides Sharjah, the drinking age is 21. Drinking alcohol in Sharjah is illegal.
