Platinum is not a hard metal. It is 4 – 4.5 on the MOHs scale of hardness. This means it can be scratched by anything harder than it is. That's about the same hardness as your fingernail.
Trophies, for those not in the know, are Sony's in-game reward system. For instance, 100 Silver Trophies can be handed over in exchange for 100 points. 25 Gold Trophies will win 250 points and 10 Platinum Trophies will earn 1,000 points. A $10 PSN voucher costs 1,000 points.

Even if you never played God of War it will be easy to understand. None of the trophies / collectibles are missable. You can get everything after the story in free-roam. There aren't any difficulty-related trophies either.

Advanced Combat Tips, Tricks, and Techniques
- Keep your camera focused on as many enemies as you can.
- Get comfortable weaving in evasive sidesteps between your attacks.
- Fully master the Leviathan's Freezing Throw (heavy axe throw).
- Be comfortable leaving the Leviathan frozen in an enemy without immediately recalling it.
Spoiler- It is hard. In God of War, there are four different difficulties ranging from a breezy and easy "story emphasis" mode which makes combat extremely easy and gives players time to focus on the story (it is real good). Then there is a middle challenge which is okay-ish.
