Go to settings>music and turn on the iCloud music library. That will enable you to share playlists directly from the Music App.
To turn collaboration on for a playlist on desktop, right click (or Ctrl-click on Mac) the playlist in the left hand column and select Collaborative Playlist. When a friend clicks on the link, it will open in Spotify and anyone with access can not only alter the playlist, but also pass the link on to others.

At the moment, you can't restrict who has access to a collaborative playlist. Spotify has put one measure in place to help restrict a free-for-all collaboration by random strangers — it doesn't let you publish collaborative playlists to your public profile.
Adding Songs to a Collaborative Playlist. Right-click on the song or album you want to add. This will open your options on a drop-down menu. Alternatively, you can click the three-dot icon next to a song or album.
Best of all, you don't need a Premium subscription to create or participate in a Collaborative Playlist: They're available to both Spotify Free and Spotify Premium members alike.
For those who haven't done it before, below are my personal tips to making the best playlist dedicated to someone important.
- Allow your dedicatee to find themselves in the playlist.
- Let the music reminisce about the good times.
- Titles are important.
- Know your audience.
- Know how it should be played.
It's currently not possible to add songs to a collaborative playlist that isn't yours on the web player. If your desktop app looks just like the web player then you're probably on a new desktop experience we're currently testing, which is missing this feature as well.
Share your playlists
- In the Music app on your Mac, select a standard playlist you want to share in the sidebar.
- Above the list of songs in the playlist, select “Publish on profile and in search.”
Create a profile
- Open the Apple Music app.
- Tap Listen Now.
- In the upper-right corner of the Listen Now screen: On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, tap the photo icon .
- Tap See What Friends Are Listening To.
- Follow the onscreen prompts to create a username, find and follow friends, share playlists, and more.
- Tap Done.
There are two ways to add songs to existing playlists: Open a playlist, tap Edit, tap Add Music, then select music from any of the sections of your library. To add a song to the playlist, tap the song title to place a check mark next to it. Tap Done when you're finished.
The creator of a playlist is not notified if you play their playlist. They will only be notified if you Follow the playlist. Your Followers can also see the playlist you're l listening in the Friend Feed. To keep this private go to your Desktop App > Preferences > Turn off 'Publish my activity on Spotify'.
To
share playlists with people who don't follow you, touch and hold a
playlist, then tap
Share Playlist.
By default, your followers see the playlists you create, but you can choose not to share some playlists.
- Tap Listen Now, then tap.

- Tap Edit, then turn playlists on or off.

While you can share the playlists with non-subscribers, they will only be able to play songs from that playlist that they own.
Setting up Apple Music family on an Android device:Open the Apple Music app. If you don't see an Apple Music screen, tap the three vertical dots, then tap 'For You'. If you currently subscribe to Apple Music, tap 'Sign In', then change to a Family subscription. Tap the Family option, then tap Start Trial.
1) Access the playlist you want to edit in the Music app by tapping Playlists on the Library tab. 2) Select the playlist you want to change and tap Edit on the top right. 3) Once in the Edit area, you can tap to Add Music, tap a minus sign to remove a song, or hold and drag songs to different locations on the list.
How to find and add playlists on Apple Music on a mobile device
- Open the Apple Music app.
- Tap the magnifying glass icon.
- Search for a playlist by artist, genre, or interest using keywords.
- On the search results page, scroll until you see the "Playlists" heading.
Best if you have a big existing music library and want lossless audio. Apple Music has a key advantage over Spotify in that you can combine the songs you already own with the Apple Music streaming catalog. Siri users also get more robust voice controls for playback.
Sound quality is usually better than Spotify's, thanks to Apple Music using a 256kbps AAC bitrate, compared to the max 320kbps Ogg Vorbis bitrate used by Spotify. Apple Music also has a digital locker feature that subscribers can take advantage of, to the tune of 100,000 songs.

Anyone with the link can view the list of songs, but as with Spotify, they'll need to sign in with an Apple Music account to listen. If you're on an iPhone, open a playlist (it'll automatically open in the Music app), tap the three dots (top right), then choose Share to send it.

You can get the URL link to a song/album/playlist and then use the Shortcuts app to generate a QR code. Then you can use the Camera app to scan the code and it'll take you right to Apple Music.
