Hulu's new download feature will let you binge offlineHulu is joining the ranks of streaming video services that will let you download shows and movies to watch offline when you're on a plane or anywhere else your mobile device can't get a connection.
Offline downloads are now available from Hulu, letting subscribers save content for later viewing when they're away from a Wi-Fi connection. Downloads are launching on iOS and iPadOS today, with Android to follow “soon.”
How to download Hulu videos
- Set one-click mode. Launch Freemake Video Downloader and switch on "One-click mode".
- Copy video URL. Go to Hulu video, movie, or full episode you'd like to download and copy its link.
- Download Hulu video. Click "Paste URL" button - the video will be downloaded automatically.
To access the download-to-go feature, Hulu users must update their iOS app to the most recent version. In the app, there's a new “Downloads” tab at the bottom of the screen for accessing downloaded content. To find more shows and movies to download, users can click “See What's Downloadable” and browse titles.
To download movies and shows on Hulu, just look for the Download icon next to a video. Click that, and the content will download to whatever device you're currently using. To find content to download, just tap the Search icon and select Downloadable.
The service relies on a fast broadband Internet connection for smooth video streaming, and requires a minimum download speed of 3 Mbps for high-definition videos. If your video stutters or looks choppy, improve download speed by making adjustments to your network or device settings.
It's possible that Hulu is not working on your iPad because it needs to be updated. Open the App Store and tap on your account icon in the upper right-hand corner of the screen. Scroll down to the app updates section and tap Update if one is available for Hulu.

In general, if the device does not have the Google Play store or other Google apps (Gmail, Maps, etc), it will not be able to use Hulu. If you have any trouble downloading the Hulu app, we recommend updating to the most current version of Android OS.
