A red rash. Itching, which may be severe. Dry, cracked, scaly skin. Bumps and blisters, sometimes with oozing and crusting.
Allergic reactions to epoxy can result in irritated skin or respiratory problems. Irritated skin is by far the more common of these two health effects. Usually, it appears much like a reaction to poison ivy and may include swelling, itching and red eyes.

Localized rashThere are two types of contact dermatitis: Allergic contact dermatitis. Things like antibiotic ointment placed on your skin and surgical glue or tape are the more common causes of allergic contact dermatitis. You will develop a rash only if you are allergic to the substance you come in contact with.

- Hot, soapy water.
Use acetone.
- Soak the skin in warm soapy water as soon as possible. This will soften the glue.
- Use an acetone-based nail polish remover. It must contain acetone, because acetone softens cyanoacrylate.
- Let the area dry, then use a nail emery board to remove the glue.
- Let it peel off on its own.
For full bond strength, the parts should be left undisturbed for at least 10 minutes. The glue will be fully cured in 24 hours. Super glue bottles can dry out quickly once opened. Loctite applicators come with airtight caps to keep bottles fresh.
