Thor seems to have more physical strength and is definitely more durable. Thor was able to withstand the energy of a star. Captain Marvel absorbed an explosion of an engine charged by the tesseract. Both are impressive feats, but Thor's is better.
Fury plays off the cat scratch like it was no big deal afterwards — and usually cat scratches aren't. The only problem is that Goose isn't actually a cat! Coulson says that he heard that Fury lost his eye in an attack by the Kree while he'd been protecting the Tesseract.
Sentry and Hulk are the most powerful avengers in the comicsHe is an uber-powerful hero with the power of 'one-million exploding suns' at his disposal.
Surprise, he's actually a Skrull! As it's revealed during the final closing credits scene of the movie, the Fury we've seen the entire movie is not Fury, but rather Talos, the Skrull who was introduced in Captain Marvel (played by Ben Mendelsohn).
His scratches also seem to be mysteriously powerful, as one scratch is able to permanently ruin Nick Fury's eye. In the comics, Flerken are also able to use their pocket dimensions to instantly travel across dimensions, so we will have to see if Goose utilizes this ability in the movies.
Which means that Talos has been incognito as Fury for up to 8-months after Avengers: Endgame.
Well, it could mean, theoretically, that the Flerken will be able to hold the other Infinity Stones inside herself. And that she could even swallow the Infinity Gauntlet, perhaps snatching it right off Thanos' hand. Indeed, Goose could well be integral to procuring the Gauntlet and/or transporting it as necessary.
Comic book writer Mark Millar is the one responsible for turning S.H.I.E.L.D. director Nick Fury black – after him being Caucasian for decades – and making him look like Samuel L. Jackson, as it turned out, was an avid comic reader, and was very familiar with the work that Millar had done.
The directors of Captain Marvel have revealed why Nick Fury had to lose his eye the way he did. The '90s-set film saw MCU fans finally learn the truth of how the SHIELD agent (played by Samuel L Jackson) came to wear his iconic eyepatch, as his eye was scratched out by the unpredictable cat Flerken Goose.
Nicholas Joseph "Nick" Fury is a world-renowned spy, former Director of S.H.I.E.L.D. and founder of the Avengers. Fury began his career within the United States Army in the late 1960s, rising to the rank of Colonel before his honorable discharge.
In the comics, Fury lost his eye after complications from a Nazi grenade blast and in an explosion during the Gulf War. A third Fury, his secret son in the comics with the same name, had his eye cut out.
Iron Man was a technical leader in The Avengers, considering he was the smartest and was the first-billed in the cast of The Avengers, while Captain America was the the co leader of The Avengers due to his miltary experience, good strategies, level-headedness and good leadership qualities.
Nick Fury's eyepatch has somehow magically switched eyes. Samuel L Jackson, the actor that plays Nick Fury, even had something to say about it. Just to clear things up real quickly, Jackson never actually took a picture with his eye patch on the wrong side.
But the secret in the comics is that Nick Fury is essentially immortal thanks to the Infinity Formula which saved his life after he was severely injured by a mine during the war. His aging has been slowed almost to the point of stopping altogether, which explains his youthful appearance.
The original Nick Fury, i.e. the one from the main Marvel Comics universe, Earth 616, is a white man, but in the Ultimate universe continuity, which launched in 2000, he's a black man who looks just like Samuel L. Jackson.
Power scale: 100."Captain Marvel, she is as powerful a character as we've ever put in a movie," the Marvel Studios head, Kevin Feige, told Vulture. "Her powers are off the charts, and when she's introduced, she will be by far the strongest character we've ever had."
Short answer, no. In the captain marvel movie, it showed that he lost his eye due to a nasty scratch from an alien called a Flerken- which resembles an orange tabby cat. I believe he was given the option of using a fake eye in place of his lost one but he decided to go with the eyepatch. Hope this helps!
In a surprise twist, Captain Marvel reveals that, long before Loki got his hands on it, the mighty Tesseract sat in the possession of Kree scientist Mar-Vell, who found a way to channel its energy into a machine known as the Light-Speed Engine. So, Carol Danvers got her powers from the energy of an Infinity Stone.
Her name was Sharon Hannah Imogen Emmanuella Lara Davis. Initials, SHIELD. Seriously though, I don't think Nick Fury was married in the MCU, he was just using that as a cover to show Cap that SHIELD was compromised, infested with Hydra sleeper agents.
Captain Marvel, the first movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe with a female superhero in the lead role, isn't exactly a bad movie. In a way it's something worse: a disappointing, instantly unmemorable mediocrity—a by-the-numbers superhero movie that could, and should, have been so much better.
Spoilers follow for Captain Marvel and Avengers: Endgame.Unlike Steve Rogers and Bucky Barnes, Carol Danvers never undergoes cryogenic freezing to stall her aging. (For what it's worth, both super soldiers probably age at a slower rate than normal human beings anyway.)
Skrulls can be good, bad, or in the middle. The ones we see in Captain Marvel and Spider-Man: Far From Home are on the side of good. However that doesn't mean that there aren't other Skrulls out there that are just as evil as the Kree describe them to be.
In the comics there have been three different versions of Fury (all one-eyed) and two have lost their left eye in wartime incidents. But he ends up getting a bit too close to Goose, who scratches Fury over his left eye. "It's just a scratch," he believes, but the reaction of Talos confirms otherwise.
Nick Fury was actually a Skrull in Far From Home! It's revealed in the somewhat bizarre post-credits scene that Fury and his alien-busting partner Maria Hill were both Skrulls all along, the shape-shifting alien race from Captain Marvel.
Here's some other stuff that happens throughout the film: Nick Fury is shot and “killed” around the midway mark, only to later reveal that he just pulled a Gordon-in-The Dark Knight and faked his death. No one really dies in Marvel movies, especially when they're played by Samuel L. Jackson.
The Infinity Formula is an experimental drug in the Marvel Universe that slows the aging process. It is used by Nick Fury and many of his comrades. In Shield #4 it is revealed that the Infinity Formula may not have been invented by Dr. Berthold Sternberg as previously believed (Marvel Spotlight #31).
'Spider-Man: Far From Home' Theory Speculates MJ Is Nick Fury's Daughter. An intricate Spider-Man: Far From Home theory speculates Michelle, or MJ (Zendaya), is secretly the daughter of S.H.I.E.L.D. super-spy Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson).
agents Nick Fury and Phil Coulson to investigate. In an ensuing Skrull attack, Fury kills a Skrull impersonating Coulson. Skrull commander Talos, disguised as Fury's boss Keller, orders Fury to work with Vers and keep tabs on her.
Victoria Alonso, EVP of Production at Marvel Studios, confirms Iron Man is dead and there are no plans for the character's return. Tony Stark served as the Marvel Cinematic Universe's poster boy for the entirety of Infinity Saga, with the original Iron Man movie kicking off the franchise back in 2008. Robert Downey Jr.
Every Time Marvel Tried To Kill Nick FuryLater in the movie, it was revealed that Fury never died at all. He faked his death and allowed the world to believe that the director of S.H.I.E.L.D. was dead. Nick Fury died again in the post-credits scene of Avengers: Infinity War -- but this time it was for real.
