But the Pixel Buds don't fulfill that promise, at least not yet. The $159 Bluetooth earbuds work with recent Android and iOS devices, but the translation feature is specific to Google Pixel smartphones. The other person can press the microphone button on the Pixel phone to speak a response in Italian.
With the accompanying Google Translate app installed on a connected phone, Google's Pixel Buds are capable of translating more than 40 different spoken languages in real time. “Google Translate is available on all Assistant-optimized headphones and Android phones,” the page now reads.
If you are trying to connect Pixel Buds to a computer, iOS device, or an older Android device, you'll need to go through the manual pairing process. Hold in the button inside the case until the indicator light flashes. Next, navigate to the Bluetooth menu and look for a new device.

Best answer: No, the Pixel 4 doesn't have a 3.5mm headphone jack. While that may be annoying for some potential buyers, you can still use the USB-C port for wired audio, or get an adapter. Alternatively, you can connect your favorite wireless headphones/earbuds to the Pixel 4 and listen to music that way, too.
The new Pixel Buds will cost $179 and arrive sometime next spring.
Both the Apple AirPods and the Google Pixel Buds work wirelessly over Bluetooth, so will work with either Android or iOS phones – though the AirPods are designed to work best with iPhones and the Pixel Buds are designed to work best with Pixel handsets (in terms of the speed of the syncing and the features available).
Google's new Fast Pair Bluetooth pairing works with other modern Android phones, and for everything else they can pair up just like normal Bluetooth headphones. The only feature that doesn't work is the real-time Google Translate function, which is limited to Pixel and Pixel 2 phones.
Chances are you'll be using the Galaxy Buds with multiple devices, so make sure to disconnect them from one device before trying to connect them to another. The earbuds will have trouble pairing otherwise.
Use the Pixel USB-C earbuds that come in the box with your phone, or other digital audio accessories with USB-C connections. If needed, use your USB-C to 3.5mm headphone adapter.

The Galaxy Buds are pretty amazing for the price. Galaxy Buds with Pixel 2 XL. I've been using the new Galaxy Buds with my Pixel 2 XL all day, and they work great. Pairing was a breeze after I downloaded the app. The sound quality is good, I had to put the larger ear tips on to get a better seal and it greatly improved the bass.
They sound decent, battery life is good (around 6 hours at moderate volume levels) and their compact charging case offers USB-C wired and wireless charging. The Bottom Line Although their sound quality doesn't wow, the Galaxy Buds are certainly worth considering if you're a Samsung Galaxy or Android phone owner.
