One of the following documents is acceptable as proof of identity and proof of age:
- Birth certificate (plus marriage certificate if the applicant's name has changed)
- Current driving licence.
- Current passport - the identification page.
- NHS medical card.
- Statement of entitlement to a pension.
You can apply for a pass by contacting your local council, or you can apply online: Apply online for an older person's bus pass. Apply online for a disabled person's bus pass .
- To apply for a Student's Pass, you must be accepted into an approved full-time course in Singapore.
- If you wish to transfer to another school after your application has been approved but have yet to collect the Student's Pass, you will need to submit a new application.

Outlets that sell bus passes usually include the transportation administration office, the main bus terminal, and a few other kiosks. In big cities, they may also include retail stores, like Walgreens or Walmart.Everyone over state pension age and eligible disabled people are entitled to free off-peak local bus travel anywhere in England. Local authorities can offer further benefits to their residents and in some areas you can get a pass for free travel if you are over the age of 60 so it is best to check local information.

The fare changes, following extensive public hearings and Board approval last May, will raise the price of the base cash fare from $1.50 to $1.75, the Day Pass from $5 to $7, the weekly pass from $20 to $25 and the monthly pass from $75 to $100.
A regular fare TAP card costs $2. Reduced-fare TAP cards (available for seniors, students, persons with disabilities) are provided at no cost; however, you must apply for the card in advance.
Metrobus Cards

You can use your unlimited Student bus pass can be used to travel to a your part time job, an energising gym class out socialising or exploring a new area at the weekend.
Students and families can add value to S-Cards for reduced fares, or purchase a $30.00 monthly pass for unlimited travel on the subway and Local or Express buses. S-Cards can also be used to buy half-price 1-way Commuter Rail and ferry tickets.

You can use the Student ID card to pay for a Student Fare on all MTA local services: CityLink, LocalLink, Metro SubwayLink, and Light RailLink. If you travel on Express BusLink service, you will be charged the $1.30 Student Fare plus the 50 cent surcharge.

Children aged five to fifteen inclusive get a 50% discount on most tickets. In addition, children under five can travel free with fare paying passenger. If the child looks 16 or over, it may be appropriate for proof of age to be carried when purchasing the ticket and also when travelling to avoid embarrassment.
Kids ride free
Kids 18 and younger ride free on all Cap Metro services: K-12 students, with valid ID. 10 and younger must be accompanied by someone 12 or older.Called the 1-Way Trip, customers using their Tap card when boarding a Metro bus or train pay the new base fare of only $1.75. This new 1-Way Trip fare includes free transfers for up to two hours to complete a one-way trip. This feature is not valid for round trips on Metro buses or trains.
K-12 Students
Middle and high school students can pay with cash (on the bus only), and still receive their 50 percent discount using their student ID card. Elementary students can also pay with cash (on the bus only) without having to show an ID. NOTE: Riders paying with cash will not receive a free transfer.Holders of Transit Link cards or weekly or monthly MARC and VRE passes ride free on regular Metrobus routes and pay a discounted fare of $2.25 on Metrobus express routes.
Full time Further Education students who are under age 19 on 1 July 2020 and live more than 3 miles from the closest College campus offering their chosen course can apply for a free bus or rail pass for their travel to and from College. Students who travel by car can apply for assistance with fuel costs.
On the bus, you can pay for a one-way fare in cash. Buses accept $1 bills and most coins (no half-dollars). Transfer is not available when paying in cash on the bus.
