Do you recommend a new player to play the campaign or sandbox? Campaign definitely, it guides you into the game nicely, it's like a tutorial, but you can build there freely too, it's not as weird as some old Anno campaigns.
Anno 1800 Season 3 DLC 3: The High Life Release Date - August 31, 2021.
The Season 1 Pass will offer access to the post launch downloadable content (DLC) of Anno 1800, offering more opportunities for adventure. Expand your island with a new European session and large continental island, as you join an eccentric inventor and his diving bell on a treasure hunt.
The Season 3 Pass will bring three new pieces of DLC to Anno 1800, which will be available as a bundle or for individual purchase. Following Docklands is Tourist Season, which launches in spring 2021, and lets players entertain their visitors with activities and fill their virtual bellies at the best restaurants.

To gain more influence points you need to expand your population or upgrade more engineer residences to investor residences. At the start of the game you have a base influence pool of 100 points (amount depends on influence difficulty setting).
Anno 1800 is now available for pre-purchase on Epic as well as Steam (and Uplay, if that's your thing), at the same price and with the same preorder bonuses. A pre-release open beta will run April 12-14, and will be available through either Epic or Uplay.
Sandbox Mode is one of the game modes of Anno 1800. It can be played with 0-3 opponents (up to 4 players total), 0-2 pirates and 1-4 traders, and allows you to set different victory conditions, difficulty levels and characters.
Like other Anno games, Anno 1800 is a city-building and strategy game. Like Anno 2205, the game features multisession gameplay, though unlike its predecessor, combat and city-building sessions are not separated.

Anno 1404: Venice was released on February 26, 2010. The expansion includes 15 new scenarios, an espionage system, volcanic islands and an added third non-player power known as the Venetian dignitary Giacomo Garibaldi. Garibaldi enables the player to sabotage other player's cities and/or buy them out.
To start a cooperative game in Anno 1800, join a multiplayer session that isn't full. You can do this by invite or by using the + button under the company avatar of the player you would like to team up with. Up to 16 players can play together in the same session, divided into 4 companies.
